Beach Bag Essentials

My favorite place to go is to the beach. The smell of the salt water in the air, the sound of the waves crashing, and the mesmerizing view is so therapeutic and has such a calming effect. I literally could sit all day just staring endlessly at the ocean.  In a few weeks, I will be going on vacation where the beach is steps away from where I am staying. We usually split our time between the sand and poolside. My beach bag will be the perfect companion.

Here are a few essentials I have in my beach bag.

Face Protection

There are a few things I do to protect my face. One of them to apply sunscreen before any BB creams or foundation.  This sunscreen intrigued me because it hydrates, provides an impressive mix of anti-aging ingredients and is very lightweight. This also has a brightening glow to the skin without sparkle or glitter. This works well alone or under my makeup.

Lips

Protecting your lips is just as important as the rest of your skin. I love this Lip Treatment with SPF 15. The natural ingredients provide protection from wrinkle-causing free radicals. It provides essential, year-round protection from damaging UV rays. I love the tint of color it gives as well.

Face Mist

This particular mist is a three in one. It sets your make-up, controls oil and has SPF50 sunscreen

The fragrance is nice. A blend of three essential oils, peppermint, spearmint, and rosemary leaf leaves my skin feeling refreshed.

Lotion

My skin is more on the dry side. I like to use a lightweight hydrating lotion. The Hawaiian Tropic Sheer has an SPF of 30 so it protects softens, and leaves skin glowing. Its ultra-radiant formula, with a hint of sheen, leaves your skin soft and luminous. It also smells amazing. I am a big fan of Hawaiian Tropic products. I have been using them since my teenage years.

Eye Gel

To help hydrate my under eye area I use a depuffing gel. I found this one on sale. I’m not brand loyal when it comes to eye gels. I love how refreshing it makes my under eye area feel.\

Sanitizing wipes

Sunhat

A hat is necessary to further protect your face from sun damage. I have a few sunhats but this one is my favorite. A random find I picked up at a local vendor shop in one of my trips to Mexico. I love the neutral color, it goes with anything and looks stylish too.

Sunglasses

These are my go to every day sunglasses. I also have another pair in the same style but in gold. I never buy my sunglasses full price. I typically pick up mine at Nordstroms Rack, the Outlets or TJ Max. The lenses are large enough to cover and protect the delicate eye area.

Reading Material

I love a good book or a few magazines to read while I’m relaxing. When I’m not reading I’m listening to music or podcasts on my iPad mini (not pictured).
