I recently got off the waiting list after a few months. I love Sephora and was very excited to participate in this subscription.
Here is what comes in the box.
- Nest Fragrances in Citrine
- First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser
- Ouai Wave Spray
- Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
- Beauty Blender Blotterazzi
- Benefit Dew the Hoola Liquid Bronzer
Nest Fragrances in Citrine (sample)
This perfume has notes of freesia, sparkling citrus and hits of precious woods. While the notes of this fragrance sound great, I did not care for the smell. It was a bit over powering for me. I know Nest has many other scents to try.
First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser (value $5.50)
I cannot say enough good things about this brand. It is my go to in the winter months. I do use this cleanser (in the winter). It is very gentle and hydrating on the skin. It does not leave a residue on the skin. Additionally in the winter, I use their Ultra Repair Cream Intense Therapy and lastly one of my staples when I travel is the Vitamin Hydrating Mist!
Ouai Wave Spray (value $8.84)
I have wanted to try the Ouai line, specifically this wave spray. I have naturally curly hair and have a hard time finding curl “refreshing” spray that does not have a bunch of drying ingredients and leaves my hair sticky. This weightless mist is just that, weightless! It did not weigh my hair down one bit. My curls were bouncy and most important not “crunchy”. I had a chance to get good use of this while on my vacation. The light scent (containing notes of Italian lemon, amber and white musk) was not over powering. I will be purchasing the full size.
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer (value $9)
Ahh yes the iconic Smashbox primer! Their #1 and for good reason. Not a new item to me, I have used this several times and love it. The soft silky texture glides on the skin to help fill in fine lines and pores. Works alone or as a great base for foundation.
Beauty Blender Blotterazzi (value $10)
The full size product comes with 2 blotterazzi sponges and a case. That retails for $20 so I estimate the value to be $10 for the one in our box. As a bonus it also comes with a sample of the liquid blender cleaner.
Benefit Dew the Hoola Liquid Bronzer (value $4.48)
Another liquid bronzer! In last month’s box there was a sample of bare Minerals BareSkin sheer sun liquid bronzer. I am happy to try the Benefit liquid Hoola. I do have a sample size of the Hoola powder and really like it. The Hoola bronzer was very subtle and I found the color was a bit orange on me. I do have the Hoola powder and I really like it. The powder does not look orange on me, which I prefer over the liquid.
Wrap up: The total value of this box is over $35. I would say that is a great day. So far, this is my favorite month. My favorite items are the face cleanser and the Ouai Wave Spray. What are your favorites in this box?
