Summer Beauty Series: Nighttime Skincare

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing my summer nighttime skin routine as part of the Summer Beauty Series. As with most of us, our skin has different needs during summer vs. winter. A little about my skin type: I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation along the tops of my cheekbones. I also have fine lines around my eyes and some wrinkles on my forehead. My skin is not that sensitive however I do like to stay away from heavy perfumed products if I can. Ok now let’s get started.

Cleanse: I start with It Bye Bye 3 in 1 Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm. I have been using this for a couple months now. I am a big fan of It Cosmetics and when I saw they had a cleansing balm, I knew I had to try it. The first time I used it I fell in love, so in love I ordered a backup immediately!  I absolutely love it. It melts into the skin to remove all makeup even eye makeup. It does not sting the eyes or leaving my skin dry.  I will have a future blog post comparing other cleansing balms.

Tone: A hydrating toner is necessary for my dry skin. This toner from Murad works great. I love the fact it has a mist spray. I spray two pumps, one on my face and one on my neck and chest.

I alternate every other day with using the hydrating toner and the Loreal Revitalift Brightening Peel pads. These pads helps exfoliate dead skin cells for and have 10% Glycolic Acid. They help leave my skin feeling fresh and clean.

Lips: After I cleanse and tone my skin, I apply a lip oil to hydrate my lips. I really liked the Milani lip oil treatment but ran out recently. I found a new product, the Yes to lip oil in my recent trip to Walmart. I leave this on until I am done with my makeup routine or ready to put on lipstick for the day. It hydrates my lips and I love it. It is about half the cost of the Milani lip oil and I prefer this one over the Milani lip oil.

Serum: After toner, I use a half to a full pump of Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum all over my face. This lightweight serum soaks into the skin and helps with my hyperpigmentation.

Moisturize: I have been using the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate oil. I use two-three drops (put in palm of my hand) and pat this all over face, neck and chest area. I wait for that to soak for a few minutes before the final step.

I really enjoy this product! It is very lightweight, protects my skin and leaves it feeling hydrated without a greasy feeling.

Extra Hydration: My final step is to apply my eye cream and sunscreen. I use Lancôme Renergie Lift Multi- Action Eye

Lancôme Renergie Lift Multi- Action Lifting and Firming Cream. Both of these are sample sizes I received in a gift with purchase when I purchased my Lancôme cushion foundation. I love Lancôme and both of these products are great. They are thick and moisturizing, perfect for overnight.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I would love to hear what your favorite summer nighttime products are.
